Jones visited Ellis Park in Johannesburg on Monday and he will be heading to Bloemfontein on Wednesday and Cape Town on Thursday to scope out the Free State Stadium and Newlands Stadium as well.

Lions Rugby Company CEO Rudolf Straeuli was on hand to show Jones around at Ellis Park.

Jones is looking at various facilities within the stadiums such as the coaching boxes, dressing rooms and access points from those areas to the field.

The England coach will be looking for another major scalp since he took over the head coach position from Stuart Lancaster after the 2015 World Cup.

England won the 2016 [Grand Slam] and 2017 Six Nations titles since Jones took over and he has had success already in the Southern Hemisphere in his two years in charge.

England recorded a historic 3-0 Test series victory over the Wallabies in Australia in 2016 and a 2-0 Test series win over the Pumas in Argentina last year.

Jones' record with England currently reads 22 wins from 23 Tests with the sole blemish being a 9-13 defeat to Ireland in last year's Six Nations tournament.

England will be looking to add to their success when they head to South Africa, especially before their big match against the All Blacks in November.

It will be England's first visit to South Africa in six years. The first Test is at Ellis Park on June 9. They then head to the Free State Stadium a week later on June 16, before the third and final Test at Newlands on June 23.
