SIX NATIONS IN PICTURES: Curry blood and magnificent May

England thrashed France 44-8 in a Six Nations international at Twickenham on Sunday. The win moves them to the top of the tournament table, with ten points from two fixtures.

Jonny May ran in a first-half hat-trick of tries as England, who scored six in total, made it two wins from two this Six Nations following their 32-20 victory away to reigning champions Ireland last week.

While England dazzled with their kicking game, the French baffled. The fixture was marred by touchline bust-ups and general ill-discipline from the French. A good thing, then, that Nigel Owens, he of the sassy put-downs, was in charge.

England’s 36-point margin of victory was only just shy of their largest against Les Bleus – a 37-0 romp in France’s first match at Twickenham back in 1911.

And, just as a gentle reminder that rugby players play hard, Tom Curry tried to play on with a gaping hole in his forehead. He went off, strapped up and came back on.
