Welsh Jamie plays for Cambridge
Roberts, the powerful B&I Lions and Wales centre, fresh from the 2015 Rugby World Cup, is the first current international to play in this greatest of traditional matches since 2009. He is reading medical science at Cambridge, and will be playing for Harlequins for the rest of the season.
After their five successive victories, a record shared with Cambridge, and their record 43-6 win last year, Oxford will be looking for another.
Henry Lamont will captain Oxford in his fourth Varsity. He is one of nine Blues back from the rampant 2014 side. There is even a Blue on the bench – Graeme MacGilchrist. Blues back: Hughes, Janney, Lamont, Cullen De Berker, Anderson, Williams, Taylor, Heathcote and MacGilchrist.
The Cambridge captain is Don Stevens, a scrumhalf who played flyhalf in 2014, who came to Cambridge via Grey College of Bloemfontein and Stellenbosch University. He has 10 other Blues from 2014 with him. The returning Blues are Cherezov, Rees, Gillies, Stevens, Briggs, Montgomery, Hall, Dass, Calvert, Poulton and Tullie.
* The curtainraiser to the match will be the 29th Women's Varsity match, the first at Cambridge. The match kicks off at 11.30.
