Bayonne lose Argentina fullback Moyano

"Carrying a wrist injury since the end of last season and despite treatment, Martin Bustos Moyano will undergo surgery next Tuesday, numerous tests in recent weeks revealing that surgery is necessary," a statement issued by the club said. "He will therefore be sidelined for three months minimum."

The 31-year-old's absence further weakens Bayonne's backline with Benjamin Thiery carrying a right thigh injury.

Bayonne stunned three-time European champions Toulon 28-23 at the Stade Jean Dauger in their first match back in the Top 14 since promotion last month.

But they have struggled since and are sitting second last in the Top 14 table.
