Broken nose for Beauxis?

Toulouse flyhalf Lionel Beauxis must wait to learn later on whether he suffered a broken nose during the 19-13 Top 14 win over Racing-Metro.

However, he should be fit to face Italy in the Six Nations opener against Italy next Saturday.

The 26-year-old Beauxis – who has fought his way back into the France set-up after missing out on the World Cup – will undergo scans later to determine the injury which he suffered after a clash with Racing centre Fabrice Estebanez in the 50th minute.

“I am pretty sure my nose is broken, and I have a bruise on my forearm,” he said.

“I was trampled on. Everything’s alright, we will see after the scans.”

Beauxis – the only Toulouse player to be selected for the France squad to play – should be able to join up with the rest of the France squad as planned on Sunday as they prepare for what will be coach Philippe Saint-Andre’s first match in charge.
