France cut SA duo

South African-born loose forwards Antonie Claassen and Bernard le Roux won’t line up against their countrymen when France face the Springboks on Saturday.

The duo were released to their clubs along with Louis Picamoles, Maxime Médard, Gaël Fickou, Vincent Debaty, Alexandre Flanquart and Jonathan Pélissié as Philippe Saint-Andre trimmed his squad to 23.

Back in the matchday 23 is lock Yoann Maestri after escaping suspension for his red card against Tonga at the weekend.  

France squad:

Forwards: Thomas Domingo, Yannick Forestier, Benjamin Kayser, Dimitri Szarzewski, Nicolas Mas, Yoann Maestri, Rabah Slimani, Pascal Papé, Sébastien Vahaamahina, Thierry Dusautoir, Wenceslas Lauret, Yannick Nyanga, Damien Chouly.

Backs: Jean-Marc Doussain, Morgan Parra, Frédéric Michalak, Rémi Talès, Mathieu Bastareaud, Wesley Fofana, Florian Fritz, Sofiane Guitoune, Brice Dulin, Yoann Huget.
