French giant re-signs with Rochelle

New Zealand-born France prop Uini Atonio has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with La Rochelle.

The French international has been clocked in at weighing 152 kilograms on the club's website.

The 25-year-old club captain has extended his stay in western France until the summer of 2017.

Antonio joined then-Pro D2 La Rochelle in 2011.

Three years later, after completing the required time of residency, Antonio qualified to play for France, making his debut for Les Bleus in their 40–15 win over Fiji in last November's Test window.

La Rochelle, currently sitting in 10th in the Top 14, earlier announced that Fijian duo Levani Botia and Kini Murimurivalu had also committed to the club until 2018.
