Hayman set to retire in France
Toulon captain and legendary All Black tighthead Carl Hayman looks set to retire at the end of the French season.
The 35-year-old prop became an integral part of the Toulon team that he captained to European Cup and Top 14 glory last year.
Previously it has been suggested that the former All Black may return to New Zealand to finish off his career on home turf, however Hayman was recently quoted in Var Martin stating that his time may soon be up.
"I've had an exceptional career and I don't want to go on for a year too long," Hayman told Var Matin.
"There is a life after rugby and I want to be able to keep playing with my kids in the garden.
"I don't want to be stuck on the sofa because I can't do anything else."
Hayman racked up 45 Test caps with the All Blacks before making the move to England in 2007 where he played for the Newcastle Falcons.
In 2010 the prop made the move to Toulon.
Hayman's boots will be hard to fill, even for the French giants, with Rumours that Italian tighthead Martin Castrogiovanni is looking for a move to Japan.
