Ledesma walks out on Montpellier
Montpellier forwards coach Mario Ledesma has resigned following the Top 14 club's poor start to the season, club president Mohed Altrad announced.
Ledesma, a former Argentine international and an assistant to head coach Fabien Galthie, joined the club in 2012 and in June extended his contract until 2017.
"Forwards coach Mario Ledesma has informed me of his decision to step down from his post with immediate effect," Altrad's statement read.
"This brave decision clearly shows Mario is prepared to shoulder his possible share of responsibility."
Ledesma has paid the price for the club's recent poor results after consecutive defeats at La Rochelle and home to Brive have seen them slip to eighth in the Top 14 table, having started the season as potential championship contenders.
They are also virtually out of the running for a place in the European Cup quarterfinals after defeats last month to Toulouse and Glasgow.
