With Van Zyl’s exit at the end of the season, the coach has managed to land the signature of another South African scrumhalf in the form of James Hall.

The former Junior Springbok signed a two-year deal with French Top14 club Stade Francais, the French Top14 side revealed on their official website.

Hall, who previously played for the Sharks and Southern Kings, joins the Paris club from fellow French side Oyonnax.

Commenting on his move, Hall said: “I’m happy to join this great club and I can not wait to play here for the next two seasons.

“I hope to produce the best rugby possible and give only my best for the team and hopefully win the Top14 again,” he added.
