Racing outkick Brive
Racing-Métro went down from Paris and kicked six kicks to the home side’s four and so beat Brive 18-12 in miserable weather at Stade Amédée-Domenech in Top 14 action on Friday night.
The half-time score was 3-3 after Mathieu Belie had opened the scoring with a penalty goal.
It was a match of much kicking with the Racing forwards in the ascendant.
Gaëtan Germain kicked 12 points and for Brive Belie and Julien Caminati six each. When captain Jacques Cronjé was penalised for holding on in a tackle, Caminati’s penalty goal on the stroke of time earned Brive a loser’s bonus point.
