There are surprises this week in Europe's competitions, some of them telling as the quarterfinals draw near – Toulon's last minute victory over the Wasps, the Ospreys win over Clermont, the size of the Saracens' win and Oyonnax's big win over Toulouse who end bottom of their pool and, it seems, with no interest in the competition.
In the challenge cup, the pool winners are Brive (just), Newport, Harlequins, Gloucester and Grenoble.
The final for Japan's Top League will be next Sunday between Panasonic and Toshiba.
