Despite missing superstar Antoine Dupont due to a late withdrawal through illness, the reigning double champions reclaimed top spot from Bordeaux-Begles.

They also claimed the title of “autumn champions” as the domestic league reached it’s midway point.

First-half tries from Julian Marchand and Paul Graou gave the hosts a 14-6 half-time lead against their Parisian opponents.

France international No.10 Romain Ntamack scored his first try of the campaign shortly before the hour mark as Toulouse went on to earn a bonus-point victory thanks to two further tries by hooker Peato Mauvaka.

Bordeaux-Begles had gone top on Saturday with a 21-17 victory over the third placed Toulon which took them to 45 points.

Toulouse’s bonus-point win the following day moved them a solitary point clear of the southwestern rivals after 13 rounds of the 26-match season.
