Tournaire out for three months

Hand surgery for prop

France international prop Franck Tournaire will be out of action for three months after undergoing thumb surgery, his club side Narbonne said.

Tournaire, 34, underwent surgery on his left-hand thumb after rupturing a ligament during his team's 51-7 loss to the Glasgow Warriors at the weekend, club doctor Pascal Pradier said.

Narbonne play the Warriors in the return match at Parc des Sports et de l'Amitie. But more important, Tournaire will not be considered for the French Six Nations campaign.

France get the tournament underway when they face Italy at Stadio Flaminio in Rome on February 3.
