'We can reach new summits': France star commits to Racing 92
TRANSFER NEWS: Experienced France centre Gael Fickou has extended his Racing 92 contract to 2027, the Parisian club announced.
Fickou, 29, joined Racing from their capital city rivals Stade Francais in 2021 and he boasts 85 caps, the last being earned in the hosts’ quarterfinal defeat in the World Cup.
“This club has become my family and I’m honoured to keep wearing their colours,” Fickou said in a Racing statement.
“We have built a solid team, and I’m convinced we can reach new summits together,” he added.
At Racing, Fickou features alongside South Africa’s iconic captain Siya Kolisi and England wing Henry Arundell, who agreed a new deal last week.
On Saturday, Top 14 leaders Racing host promoted Oyonnax, before France open their Six Nations campaign against Ireland on February 2.
