Ireland wing Earls out for six weeks

The Ireland wing sustained the injury during Ireland's Grand Slam win at Twickenham.

The 30-year-old was forced to was forced to leave the field late in the second half.

The Irish province Munster confirmed the news via a statement: "It has been confirmed that the wing, who sustained knee ligament damage in Twickenham last Saturday, will not be available for approximately six weeks.

"Ruling him out of the Champions Cup quarter-final against Toulon on March 31,"

Earls is likely to miss a potential European semi-final and the closing stages of Munster’s Pro14 season.

However, the Ireland star will recover in time for the Six Nations  Champions' tour to Australia.
