Stander sustained a facial injury that could rule him out for up to four weeks.

While, Joe Schmidt’s side face an anxious wait on Keith Earls, Devin Toner and Garry Ringrose’s availability ahead of their Six Nations clash against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Earls suffered a hip pointer injury will be managed across the early part of the week.

Toner aggravated an ankle injury and Ringrose reported some hamstring tightness both will be further assessed by the medical team over the next 24 hours.

Munster wing Andrew Conway has been released from the Ireland camp due to some calf tightness following training last Thursday.
