Irish referee for Women's Final
Aoife MacCarthy of Ireland has been appointed to referee the Final of the Women’s European Championship which comes to an end on Saturday, 24 May.
A Dublin school teacher who used to play for Blackrock College, Aoife has been refereeing for three years. In 2007 she became Irelands first woman referee to referee an international when she was appointed to the Women’s European Championship in Belgium.
This year she was again one of the referees at the Championship and has been appointed to referee the Final between England and Wales.
