Leinster Schools on SA tour

Leinster schools have taken a squad of 26 players on a tour to South Africa, starting in Cape Town on Wednesday.

They start with a match against Wynberg Boys’ High and then play at Newlands against a Western Province Invitation XV which has seven players who played for Western Province at the recent Craven Week – Frankie Beukes, Sidney Tobias who is the son of Springbok flyhalf Errol Tobias, Kieran James, Yaasir Hartzenberg, Marnitz Jacobs, Justin McKay and wing Julian Karolus . in addition Mogammad Schreuder, Morne Lincoln, Elrico Blaauw, Johandre Lazenby, Shaffiq Nordien, Shameegh Allen, Pallo Manuel and Gilles Allies were in the Western Province Academy team.

The match between Leinster and the Western Province XV will be a curtainraiser to the match between SA Schools and SA Academy which in turn is a curtainraiser to the Currie Cup match between Western Province and the Blue Bulls.

After Cape Town the team goes up the coast to warmer Durban where they play Durban High School (Wednesday, 25 July), Natal Sharks Under-18 (Saturday, 28 July) and Natal Sharks Development XV (Wednesday, 1 August).
