New-look Ireland to face Italy
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has unveiled a 26-man squad that will travel to Chicago to take on Italy on Saturday.
The squad includes two uncapped players in the form of Leinster’s Ross Byrne and Ulster’s Will Addison.
The squad features a number of exciting young players after a few stalwarts were given a rest this week.
Captain Rory Best and star flyhalf Jonathan Sexton are being rested. Others also not travelling to Chicago includes the likes of Iain Henderson, Rob Herring, Stuart McCloskey, Peter O’Mahony, Rob Kearney and Keith Earls.
