Player ratings: A duck for Ireland

Ireland have been left red-faced after leaving with no points on the board in a 60-0 drubbing.

The Irish will be disappointed that they couldn't offer the same amount of fighting spirit as last weekend and after falling behind they surrendered quiet quickly.

Ireland were left chasing shadows and were far and away the second best team on the park.

Timmy Hancox rates the Irish players!

15 Rob Kearney:

Looked to run the ball from deep, but was always swamped by defenders and was unlucky to be shown a yellow card when he went for an intercept.

5/10

14 Fergus McFadden:

Missed a couple of tackles and was closely guarded by Hose Gear whenever he had the ball in hand.

4/10

13 Brian O'Driscoll:

Trying very hard to spark something, but lacked communication with his new centre partner. Far from his best handling performance, but fought hard until the end with his troops.

5/10

12 Paddy Wallace:

Was a turnstile defence and it was a big ask to fly out to New Zealand and climb straight into the starting XV.

2/10

11 Keith Earls:

Made one decent run in midfield, but was knocked down easily by Hosea Gear trying to make a try-saving tackle and then skinned for pace by an injured Israel Dagg.

3/10

10 Jonathan Sexton:

Tried to be a link with the backs making a lot of passes and choosing not to go to the boot too often, but he was on the back foot most of the time.

5/10

9 Conor Murray:

Meekly kicked possession away too often and had a very poor day at the office.

3/10

8 Peter O'Mahony:

Struggled to come to grips with the speed on the game and was out-played by a superior loose forwards on the opposition.

4/10

7 Sean O'Brien:

Fought hard and made a number of tackles, but couldn't really contest at the breakdown seeing as he was the man making the tackles.

6/10

6 Kevin McLaughlin:

Was out-muscled and missed a lot of tackles.

2/10

5 Donnacha Ryan:

One of the few Irishmen to give some go forward ball and carry into contact well.

6/10

4 Dan Tuohy:

Lost the ball in contact a few times, but he did the basics well enough.

5/10

3 Mike Ross:

Great work in the scrums and he made some good tackles.

6/10

2 Rory Best:

Good ball carrier and the best of the Irish forwards by some distance.

7/10

1 Cian Healy:

Did his bit in the loose and held his own at scrum time, but too many missed tackles.

4/10

Replacements:

16 Sean Cronin (On for Rory Best – 69th minute):

Not long enough to be accurately rated.

17 Declan Fitzpatrick (On for Mike Ross – 59th minute):

Didn't do anything wrong, but offered very little.

4/10

18 Donncha O'Callaghan (On for Dan Tuohy – 56th minute):

Did next to nothing after coming on.

3/10

19 Chris Henry (On for Kevin McLaughlin – 54th minute):

Out-classed and nowhere near the level of his opposition.

2/10

20 Eoin Reddan (On for Conor Murray – 59th minute:

Did what he could to get the ball away to the backs, but the match had been over for some time by the time he came on.

5/10

21 Ronan O'Gara (On for Paddy Wallace – 54th minute):

Tried to add something from flyhalf, but he didn't have much time and space and had no answer late in the game.

5/10

22 Andrew Trimble (On for Keith Earls (blood) – 50th to 54th min and then permanently from 73 min):

Not long enough to be accurately rated.
