Ulster star joins Ireland squad

SQUAD UPDATE: Ulster back Will Addison a has linked up with Ireland’s World Cup training squad.

The 26-year-old, who underwent back surgery in April, made a return ahead of schedule and has joined the Ireland team in Galway during their third week of World Cup preparations.

Addison’s return is certainly good news for head coach Joe Schmidt, who has to trim down the squad in coming weeks.

Connacht Rugby CEO Willie Ruane and Head Coach Andy Friend have been accommodating in Galway.

Next week the Ireland squad will be based in Munster’s High-Performance Centre in Limerick and will host an open session on Friday, July 19 at Thomond Park Stadium.
