All Blacks reign in Chicago
The All Blacks were ruthless in Chicago as they ran in 12 tries in a resounding 74-6 victory over the United States Eagles.
The All Blacks drew first blood when prop Nathan Harris got over in the left corner after a quick tap in the USA 22.
The hosts responded well and took the ball through multiple phases in New Zealand's half, but they had to be satisfied with a penalty from Adam Sidall.
The All Blacks hit back with a try in the right corner from Cory Jane, who was put in space by a good pass from Israel Dagg and fended off the last tackler well to get over.
The Eagles earned another penalty immediately when wing Blaine Scully claimed the restart, and Sidall made no mistake with his second kick at goal to cut the deficit to 12-6.
They did not stay that close for long as two quick tries from lock Patrick Tuipulotu and Sonny Bill Williams saw the All Blacks build up a 20-point advantage at 26-6.
The floodgates were well and truly open by that stage, and further tries from Charles Piutau, Williams and Julian Savea saw the All Blacks take a dominant 43-6 lead into the half-time break.
It was more of the same in the second half as the All Blacks got off to a storming start with a try from loosehead prop Joe Moody who barged over from an attacking line-out.
They followed that up with an impressive effort which featured good interplay between forwards and backs before it was finished off by Cruden to take them past the 50-point mark.
That saw Dan Carter make his long-awaited return to the Test arena, and he played a major hand in the next try as a clean break put Israel Dagg over to make it 60-6.
There was still time for tries from Sam Cane and Savea, and although the Americans played hard until the final whistle they could not find their first-ever try against the All Blacks.
Man of the match: There were many All Blacks to admire as they ran riot, but Sonny Bill Williams managed to stand out as he made a convincing return to Test rugby.
Moment of the match: There were plenty of highlights for the All Blacks, but perhaps the most encouraging was the hand that veteran flyhalf Dan Carter had in Israel Dagg's second-half try in his return to the Test arena.
Villain of the match: There were none.
