It has been reported in the UK that Wales will face the All Blacks in a three-Test series in New Zealand in July of 2020.

Pivac will take over from fellow Kiwi Warren Gatland after the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

Pivac is the current head coach of Welsh side Scarlets.

Under Pivac, Scarlets won the Pro12 title in 2017 and they finished runners-up to Leinster in the following season.

Scarlets also reach the semifinals of the European Champions Cup under Pivac in 2018.

Earlier this year, Pivac told UK media his nationality will not be an issue when coaching Wales.

“Having lived in the country for four years, I do not see myself as an outsider but a Welsh coach,” Pivac said.

“I would not have put myself through the process if I did not feel it was something I could do and was really passionate about.”
