The 27-year-old suffered the fractured cheekbone on the half-hour mark of the Bulls’ hard-earned 30-23 United Rugby Championship quarterfinal win over Benetton at Loftus Versfeld.

Arendse scored two tries in the win before he left the field.

On Monday, Arendse said the operation was successful in a social media post.
