Scotland plan tough SH tour

Scotland will be aiming to bounce back from a disappointing Six Nations campaign which saw them finish with the wooden spoon, when they go on their three-Test mid-year tour and tackle Australia, Fiji and Samoa.

The tour opens Down Under with a Test against Australia in Newcastle on Tuesday June 5.

The next Test sees the Scots face Fiji at Churchill Park, Lautoka, on June 16 before concluding against Samoa in Apia on June 23.

The Scots also have another tour match against Super Rugby side, the Waratahs, at the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney, on Sunday June 10.

“This will be a tough, full-on tour and I’ve been pleased with the form of many of the contenders for places within both the Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors teams over the last few weeks,” Scotland coach Andy Robinson said in a statement.

Tour fixtures:

June 5: Australia vs Scotland (Newcastle, Australia)
June 10: Waratahs vs Scotland (Sydney, Australia)
June 16: Fiji vs Scotland (Lautoka, Fiji)
June 23: Samoa vs Scotland (Apia, Samoa)
