Sherratt names team he hopes can end Wales' losing streak
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Wales coach Matt Sherratt has named the team to play England in the final round of the Six Nations in Cardiff on Saturday.
There are two personnel changes to the starting line-up that faced Scotland in Edinburgh last weekend.
In the back row, Aaron Wainwright is named at blindside flank with captain Jac Morgan moving to openside flank. Taulupe Faletau is again at No.8.
Joe Roberts is selected on the left wing to make his first start of the 2025 Championship, with Ellis Mee moving to right wing.
Blair Murray completes the back three at fullback.
In the front row Nicky Smith is selected at loosehead prop, Elliot Dee is at hooker and WillGriff John is tighthead prop for the third match in succession.
Will Rowlands and Dafydd Jenkins continue their partnership in the second row.
Tomos Williams is selected at scrumhalf with his club teammate Gareth Anscombe selected alongside him at flyhalf.
Ben Thomas and Max Llewellyn partner up in the midfield once more to round out the Wales XV.
Nick Tompkins returns to the Wales matchday squad and is named alongside Rhodri Williams and Jarrod Evans as the replacement backs.
Dewi Lake, Gareth Thomas, Keiron Assiratti, Teddy Williams and Tommy Reffell provide the forward cover on Saturday.
“Wales versus England is always a special occasion,” Sherratt said, adding: “We know it will be an incredible atmosphere at the Millennium Stadium.
“We’re excited to finish our campaign at home and are looking to put in our best performance on pitch on Saturday.”
