Top advocate to represent Cheeky

The former Eastern Province Rugby Union boss and his co-accused, Andrea Wessels, Nadia Gerwel, Mandisi Mkasa and Stephan Pretorius all face charges of fraud and money laundering relating to the Integrated Public Transport System (IPTS).

The trial is set to get underway on June 23, 2018.

According to The Herald, Watson's legal team has instructed Advocate Francois van Zyl of Cape Town to represent Watson.

Van Zyl is widely known for successfully representing British honeymoon murder accused Shrien Dewani in Cape Town.
