Bok hangs up his boots

NEWS: Former Springbok flank Pedrie Wannenburg has finally announced his retirement from professional rugby.

Wannenburg, who has 20 Test caps for the Springboks, made his international debut in November 2002 against France.

The former Blue Bulls star boast with an illustrious rugby career, which includes three Super Rugby and five Currie Cup titles with the Bulls and Blue Bulls during 2001 and 2010.

Since leaving the Pretoria-based franchise, the 37-year-old went onto to play for Ulster, Castres, Oyonnax and recently played for a USA rugby club Denver Stampede.

The flank announced his retirement via social media and also revealed his next step will be to take up a coaching role.
