Boks lose another hooker and prop

The Springboks will be without the services of Bulls duo Callie Visage and Marcel van der Merwe going into the November Test series

This comes after hooker Schalk Brits was ruled out until early next year with knee injury sustained in his match with English club Saracens against Clermont.

Van der Merwe's injury came in the Bulls 23-31 loss to Western Province in the Currie Cup semifinal held at Newlands last Saturday.

According to Bulls Doctor Org Strauss he suffered a medial ligament tear that will leave him sidelined for between four and six weeks.

Callie Visagie is set to undergo surgery on his shoulder, meaning that the hooker – who was part of the Springbok's June Test squad – will be ruled out possibly until early next year.

Grant Hattingh is another player going under the knife, he will have his ankle operated on and will be out of commission for eight weeks, allowing him to return early in the new year.
