Boland made a statement in what was one of Day One’s biggest results when they beat the Lions 21-16.

This result gave them good momentum against the Blue Bulls on Day Two and they were leading 21-19 at half-time.

The Blue Bulls came out with new vigour in the second stanza to claim a 37-28 win, with fullback Drewyn Baron scoring a brace.

Western Province bagged their second win of the tournament with a 19-13 victory over the Sharks.

This result means that they will meet the Blue Bulls in their final match on Friday.

South Western Districts remain unbeaten after their 34-31 win over the Western Province XV side.
