Johnson in line for Scotland job

Australian Scott Johnson will be revealed as the interim coach of Scotland later this week, according to reports.

Johnson joined the Scotland management team as attacking coach ahead of the team’s June tour and is being earmarked by Scottish media to be named in a caretaker role for the Six Nations following Andy Robinson’s resignation.

The 50-year-old was part of the 2005 Grand Slam-winning Welsh coaching team and had a winless three-Test stint as interim coach of Wales in 2006.

Johnson also briefly coached the US Eagles and served as attacking coach of the Wallabies ahead of the 2007 World Cup before he returned to Wales as director of coaching of Ospreys.
