No time to waste for Kaino

All Black Jerome Kaino wasted no time getting stuck in with the Blues, heading straight from the airport to the training field.

Kaino isn't expected to front for the Blues until Round Six of Super Rugby, but he says "the earlier the better" and will find out more from coach John Kirwan.

Kaino has spent the last two seasons with Japanese club Toyota and can't wait to test himself out again in Super Rugby.

"Physically I feel good, but in terms of being up to speed with the intensity of the game and the physicality of rugby here, we'll find out," the Kiwi loose forward  said.

"I'm sure it won't take me to long to get up to speed," Kaino said.

The 30 year-old blindside flank's last game for the All Blacks was at the 2011 World Cup, where he played almost every minute of every match.
