LionKing is back

Round Eight of the Currie Cup has come and gone and, with it, major movement in the Rugby365 SuperBru pool.

WP handed the Pumas their first home loss, the Bulls pulled off an unlikely win against the Cheetahs, EP Kings were no match for the Sharks and the Golden Lions roared their way to a convincing win over Griquas.

The chase is on for top spot in the pool but Bomber has managed to hold off all-comers for another week.

Seven points was the highest haul of the round, which allowed Roar to jump 49 places into 26th on the log and, with it, the Yellow Cap.

A new-look Top Five has been established with Bomber being the only player to maintain his spot. Matt, Sharkie, Wurm and Vic have all dropped out and are replaced by Dly Lions, Rossco, Bunker Billy and Heronimus respectively.

2. Dly Lions (up six places from eighth)

3. Rossco (up eight places from 11)

4. Bunker Billy (up eight places from 12)

5. Heronimus (up nine places from 14)

For the second consecutive week, LionKing is the only one to head in the right direction and is now the highest placed among the Rugby365 team. He amassed six points to jump 36 places into 42nd on the log.

MdV has retained his biggest faller title after he made the cardinal sin of not making his picks in time and drops a further 36 places this week.

DJP2 dropped a further 12 places this round while it has become clear that Tommy is seriously out of his depth:

42 – LionKing 31.00 (up 36 places from 78)

76 – DJP2 29.25 (down 12 places from 64)

83 – MdV 28.75 (down 36 places from 47)

149 – Tommy 25.75 (down three places from 146)
