Marius wins

Marius held on in the final round to win the rugby365 Currie Cup prediction challenge this weekend.

Marius (44.75 points) headed into the last round in pole position of our SuperBru pool but failed to add to his tally after – like most punters – backing Western Province to win at home.

However, second-placed Quiksilver (44.25 points) and third-placed JP (44 points) did the same, which handed Marius top honours.

On the rugby365 side of things, Michael de Vries and Quintin van Jaarsveld both backed Western Province and consequently dropped down the ladder. De Vries dropped eight places to finish 26th place (38 points), while Quintin van Jaarsveld fell 11 places to his final position of 74th (34.25 points).

Editor Jan de Koning tipped the Sharks to win by 10 and improved six positions to finish in 116th place (17.50 points).

Zack picked the Sharks by 13 and earned the yellow cap after securing 4.50 points.
