My first Loftus Test

Franklin Eland, one of last week's Test-ticket winners, share with us the experience of his first visit to Loftus Versfeld.

Thanks to rugby365 for the opportunity you gave me to watch the game and be at Loftus Versfeld for the first time [for South Africa's 13-6 Rugby Championship win over Argentina last Saturday].

It was quite an experience, although I struggled to watch the game though.

The rain spoiled it a bit, but I WAS THERE and drove all the way from Bloemfontein.

The trip was awesome, as it was my girlfriend's birthday Sunday, so we made it a nice outing. And I also met up with old friends from my hometown, Kakamas.

I met Francois Hougaard at the Hotel, and that was great.

The game was not bad, but it was just that everyone wanted a place under the roof [because of the rain], so that made it a bit uncomfortable – because I'm not a tall guy.

For me it was just the experience of being at Loftus that was the HIGHLIGHT for me. And of course the try by Ruan Pienaar.
