Sharks flank Jacques Botes is set to equal the record for the most Currie Cup appearances.

The veteran loose forward has played 115 Currie Cup games for the Sharks and 26 for the Pumas, so when he runs out at Loftus Versfeld on Friday night to face the Blue Bulls he will equal Helgard Muller's mark of 142 Currie Cup caps.
