Scots call up Murray, Strokosch

Scotland interim head coach Scott Johnson on Monday recalled Euan Murray and Alasdair Strokosch to his squad for Saturday's Six Nations showdown with Wales.

Tighthead prop Murray and back row forward Strokosch are back for the Murrayfield fixture after missing last month's 12-8 win over Ireland.

Murray, a devout Christian, was unavailable on religious grounds as he declines to play on Sundays, while Strokosch has been sidelined since the facial injury he suffered in the defeat against England at Twickenham on the opening weekend of the tournament.

Of those who were in the match-day 23 against Ireland only David Denton is absent.

The Edinburgh back row forward picked up a knee injury while on duty for his club in their Pro12 loss against the Scarlets at the weekend.

Ryan Wilson, the uncapped Glasgow Warriors No.8, who led Scotland A to their win against England Saxons last month, is enlisted.

Johnson is due to announce his starting line-up for the Wales clash on Tuesday.
