Victory parade for champion Sharks

The premier of KwaZulu-Natal Senzo Mchunu paid tribute to the Sharks team after they won the Currie Cup.

The Sharks beat defending champions and previously unbeaten Western Province 33-19 in the Currie Cup Final at Newlands at the weekend.

"We have been inspired by this beautiful display of talent and stamina," Mchunu said.

Mchunu said that the people of KwaZulu-Natal have been on an emotional roller-coaster throughout the Final.

"We have mobilised people of this province to go to the King Shaka International Airport to welcome our heroes in style."

Mchunu said that the provincial government will line up a series of victory celebrations as part promoting the great heritage of the Sharks.
