Scotland lose Jones ahead of USA clash

INJURY UPDATE: Edinburgh wing Dougie Fife has been added to the Scotland squad for the 2018 June Tour of the Americas.

Fife will join the squad on Monday as cover for Glasgow Warriors wing Lee Jones, who injured his knee in the early exchanges of the seven-try win over Canada in Edmonton.

27-year-old Fife has been capped six times for Scotland.

Jones will undergo further assessment when the squad arrives in Houston, Texas to determine the severity of the injury.

Scotland opened their tour with an impressive 48-10 win over Canada.

The seven-try victory included a hat-trick by hooker George Turner.

Scotland’s tour continues against the USA this Saturday, June 16 which will be followed by the final Test against Argentina on Saturday, June 23.
