Some Six Nations stats, Week Two
We give some statistics from the matches. There are lots of interesting questions to get answered: who scored most tries or fewest tries or most penalties or fewest penalties; who has been most penalised; who had the ball in their possession most; who kicked most and who passed most; which players were penalised and conceded points. That sort of thing.
Results, Week 2
England vs Italy, 59-13
France vs Ireland, 25-22
Wales vs Scotland, 24-6

Yellow Cards: Sadly, there were yellow cards again. For Wales it meant playing with 13 men for a while – not a good idea.
This week’s yellow cards were for Martín Castrogiovanni of Italy whose manners on the field were poor, and Bradley Davies and Lee Byrne of Wales.
Yellow cards so far:
Week 1
Louis Deacon (England) – infringement at a tackle – slapping the ball out of the scrumhalf’s hands. It was his team’s fourth penalty at a tackle.
Craig Mitchell (Wales) – tackle infringement. It was his team’s fourth infringement at a tackle
Denis Leamy (Ireland) – tackle infringement. It was his team’s sixth infringement at a tackle.
Week 2
Martín Castrogiovanni (Italy): deliberately knocking the ball away to prevent a tap kick
Bradley Davies (Wales): deliberate offence at a tackle – kicking the ball away.
Lee Byrne (Wales): high tackle
