Aimee starts Women's Six Nations
Just back from refereeing in Hong Kong, Aimee Barrett-Theron got the news of her Six Nations' appointment in February.
It's the first match of the 2017 Women's Six Nations, Scotland vs Ireland.
He first Test was this month – Japan vs Fiji in a Women's World Cup Qualifier.
She is not the only South African to referee in the Six Nations for Cwengile Jadezweni is one of five men amongst the 15 referees appointed to the matches.
Like Aimee Barrett-Theron, Jadezweni refereed his first Test in 2016, in August in Nairobi. He was also one of the referees appointed to the World Junior Championship in Manchester in June.
The 45 match officials named by World Rugby come from 11 different countries.
On St Patrick's Day, Alhambra Nievas, one of World Rugby's joint referees of the year in 2016, will referee the match between Ireland and England.
Amy Perrett of Australia refereed the last Women's World Cup final.
The women who refereed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro are Alhambra Nievas, Amy Perrett, Sara Cox, Beatrice Benvenuti) and Aimee Barrett-Theron.
