Match Officials for Super Rugby Quarterfinals
SANZAAR has announced the match officials for this weekend’s four quarterfinals.
Interestingly, two of the four referees are men not appointed to the World Cup as either referees or assistant referees – Glen Jackson and Mike Fraser, both of whom have refereed especially well in Super Rugby.
The two referees who are going to the World Cup and are refereeing Super Rugby quarterfinals are Jaco Peyper and Nic Berry.
The eight teams in the quarterfinals are the winners of each of the three conferences and then the next-bests. The seedings are done according to the overall log positions after the 18 league rounds.
The teams that missed out are Lions, Stormers, Rebels, Blues, Waratahs, Reds and Sunwolves.
