It's the last round of SANZAR's rugby championship but, never fear, there will be Tests, this time in Europe.
Tests tumble on one after the other and it is no wonder that they no longer have the shine they used to have and that this déjà vu has tumbled down the rugby chain.
That said, the energy always perks up when the Springboks play the All Blacks. It is such a special contest, never likely to be humdrum, never just glossed over.
Touring has almost ended. The last time the Springboks went on tour was in 1994.
There is great news for young Jaco van Heerden who has made great strides in his refereeing this year. He is to referee two matches in France, one in Pro D2 this weekend and the Top14 derby between Racing and Stade Français next weekend.
