Referees for PRO14 Semis
PRO14 have announced the referees appointed to the two semifinals and to the play-off to see who will play in European Professional Club Rugby’s Champions Cup in 2020.
The match officials for these three matches come in pods – an Irish pod in Scotland, a Scottish club in Ireland and a Welsh pod to see fair play between two West Walian clubs. Ospreys vs Scarlets is Swansea vs Llanelli, a match first played in 1876.
The referees for these three matches are Johnny Lacey of Ireland, Mike Adamson (Scotland) and Ben Whitehouse (Wales).
Both Lacey and Adamson represented their countries at Sevens while Whitehouse, the son of top referee Nigel Whitehouse, started refereeing in his teens.
