In Europe crunch time is on the horizon. It has two different components – being champions and being relegated. Crowning champions is joyful for some, bitter disappointment for others. Winning and losing a final immediately becomes history but the process of promotion or relegation has huge implications for the future.
It is a cruel time.
Super Rugby is still in the process of examining logs with an eye to the future crowing of champions.
World Rugby's Sevens Series for 2014-15 ends this week in Twickenham with three teams in a close contest to end up winners of the series – Fiji, South Africa and New Zealand.
In Argentina there is the final of the national club championship.
The World trophy for Under-20 teams starts in Lisbon this week and the Championship teams are preparing for their tournament in Northern Italy at the beginning of next month.
