Calm. Refereeing sails into relatively calm waters this weekend as the Six Nations and the European Nations Cup both end.
In the Six Nations Ireland ended on top and in the European Nations Cup Georgia ended on top after winning all five of their matches.
Not that there is entire peace for the clubs are active in Europe and Super Rugby dashes on. Those who saw the horrid match in Durban will know that Super Rugby is not entirely peaceful. We should doff our hats to the referee of that match, Angus Gardner, for keeping his head when two experienced internationals, captains of their teams, were losing theirs.
Rugby is not a peaceful game.
Probably it is Sevens that will attract most attention as the World Rugby Season dances back into life in Hong Kong where the modern soul of Sevens was born.
