World Rugby's Under-20 World Championship is about to start and so are the North-South Test matches.
There is an hiatus. But do not fear – there will soon be a storm of international rugby all over the place.
In France the top clubs press on – the last league round in Top 14 and the promotion decider in Pro D2. This round of Top 14 matches will decide those who go into play-offs. At present the top two are Clermont and Montpellier. Racing, who are third, and Montpellier meet over the weekend, Racing four points behind Montpellier. It will decide who the top two will be who have an easier path ahead with a bye. The sixth place is certainly at stake with Bordeaux-Bègles ahead of Castres by a single point.
