SA ref for HK Final
For the second year in a row a South African referee will referee the Cup Final at the Hong Kong Sevens.
In 2012 it was Rasta Rasivhenge. This year it is Marius van der Westhuizen while Rasivhenge referees the Bow Final between England and Hong Kong.
The Cup Final is between Fiji and Wales. The referee for the Cup Final is voted for by his peers at the Sevens.
Van der Westhuizen of Cape Town is a member of the Western Province referees' Society and an IT specialist who heads up the team which produces the clips each week for the SA Referees' website (www.sareferees.co.za.).
James McPhail of New Zealand refereed the Shield Final between France and Argentina and Alex Ruiz of France the Plate Final between Samoa and Canada. Anthony Moyes of Australia was appointed to referee the 3rd-place play-off between New Zeland and Kenya.
