Statistics: Currie Cup semifinals
There were two semifinals in the 2010 Currie Cup in 2010. We give some statistics from each match.
The semifinal in Durban was between the Sharks and the Blue Bulls, which was delayed by bees and then played in rain. At Newlands the weather was great, the stadium packed.
If you looked at statistics, other than tries scored, you would have thought that the Durban match was the more constructive – less kicking, ball in play longer and fewer scrums – and this in worse conditions.
